George Fanshawe

Born 1952, the artist attended Goldsmith’s College in the early 70’s. With a unique style in pastel between impressionism and photo realism his landscapes include mist, haunting light and low-level views through reeds. Whilst living in Germany his love of pastel grew from chalking on pavements with German artists. He is passionate about architectural subjects and is in demand for house portraits. Many regard him as one of the top architectural artists in London working in pastel. He has many collectors including The Mayor of New York, Gary Lineker, Josh Groban, John Rutter CBE and Lloyds Bank. The artist and his work have featured in several books and journals and was described by Keith Dashwood of The Dashwood Gallery, London as “an artist with the eye of a hawk and the touch of a butterfly”. He has received invitations to exhibit in galleries in New York and Paris and has featured on Japanese television.
